Declan helping bake
I was busy making a cake for a wedding reception yesterday and Declan wanted to help. Since I had a little extra cake batter, I let him have some fun. Here he is eating as much frosting as he's putting on the cake. This was with the help of Daddy, since Addy was demanding mom's attention by the time the cake was ready for frosting. Don't worry, I didn't let him help with the one for the wedding at all. I know the guests would prefer that a two year old not lick the cake before it gets to them.
After all the excitement he decided to come love on Addy. I think she wanted to eat his face to get the rest of the frosting. She willingly let him hold her and cuddle her for a while.

Mmmm that icing all over that knife and his face looks yummy! Declan, you did a great job! And momma....how brave of you to let him do that!

Thank you for all the thoughts on the lack of sleep!! Oh goodness...it is easier by not giving birth, but it is still an adjustment, sleep is my favorite thing to do in the world! LOL
