Declan's eventful evening

Well, after no nap yesterday (not for lack of trying, 3 hours in the crib without sleep) Declan was running at our small group meeting for church and fell and hit his head on a bar stool. He cut it open right above his nose, between his eyes. I was so glad that the house we were at belongs to an ER doctor who looked at him and said, he needs that glued shut. He asked if I wanted him to do it there or to go to the ER and I had him just do it at his house. It took 4 of us to hold him down, and he superglued his head. He assured me that what they use in the ER is the same stuff, just has a better applicator tip on the end.

I hated holding my baby down, it was way worse than shots! He was screaming for mama at one point. It really wasn't that long, but he was just scared and hurting. The good news is it saved me hours of waiting at the ER for the same results and it was free!
According to the doctor, he will have a scar but hopefully not too bad. At least he's a boy and will think it's cool to tell the story when he gets older!
